Prosecutors on Monday indicted three former senior officials of the Expoland amusement park outside Osaka in connection with a fatal roller coaster accident in May 2007 that left one person dead and 19 injured. Expoland as a corporation was also indicted on a charge of violating the building standards law over allegedly false reports to local authorities about regular checks on the roller coaster.
