City likely to move ahead with purchase of Gilroy Gardens

For the past few months, city inspectors and hired legal and environmental consultants have been inspecting Gilroy Garden's title and the land itself. So far everything looks fine. The company isn't sure of its financing plans, but plans to retain Cedar Fair as the operator if the company agrees to renew.

Now lets step back a minute here on that thought. It is possible that the operating contract that Paramount(now Cedar Fair) had with the city was through the firm that Paramount was partnered with to own/operate Canada's Wonderland. Too bad they sold off the surrounding land. It would be a great place to host the annual garlic festival.
