New Cypress Gardens owner known for buy and flip

Robert Harper IV bought 752 acres in North Lakeland for $9.5 million on Dec. 5, 2006. By the end of the day, Harper had sold the property for $13.2 million to the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The quick deal typified how Harper conducts business. But it's those quick flips of property that have people close to Cypress Gardens worried because a Harper company, Land South Holdings of Mulberry, is the new owner of the Winter Haven attraction.

I thought that Cypress Gardens was protected by some kind of local law or ordinance and cannot be redeveloped?

Sooner or later the bubble will burst for all those flippers who want to make a fast buck.

It's already happening, all over the place. Real estate values have taken a dive in many parts of the country and flippers are realizing that making a quick buck isn't as quick as it used to be... not to mention the fact there are a lot of people that were holding onto property thinking they'd get a ton of money for it only to find the demand isn't as strong as it once was.
