Third suit filed in Great Escape outbreak

A third law firm has filed a class action suit against Six Flags Great Escape Lodge and Indoor Waterpark after visitors to the park fell ill with the Norwalk virus. According to the state Department of Health, 496 people reported becoming ill after visiting Great Escape in March. The Health Department confirmed that the virus spreading at the park was the Norwalk virus, a highly contagious illness that generally last two to four days.

These outbreaks are becoming more and more common, not sure if there is anything the park could have done. They happen on cruises frequently. There was even an outbreak at a local dog agility competition.

Yeah, unless it can be proven that the park itself is unsanitary, I'm not sure what responsibility the park has for something like this. Much like a community pool, I think you have to assume a certain amount of risk when you attend a water park. All that has to happen is for one person who is ill to attend and an epidemic is possible.
