AmericaCoasters.com posts SFMM update highlighting Thomas Town construction and park improvements
Monday, May 05, 2008 8:39 PM ET | contributed by xbombman

Thomas Town construction is nearly complete at Six Flags Magic Mountain. The track for Thomas the Tank Engine has been laid and the station is being erected. Goliath Jr., which will be re-themed as Percy the Small Engine, has been flipped 180 degrees and a new station for the ride is being constructed.

Additionally, the park has opened two Johnny Rockets locations, a cyber cafe with free Internet access and a new basketball game called "3-Point Challenge." Also, Valencia Falls, which was turned off for Tatsu's construction, has finally been turned back on.

The Skytower has also reopened, showing X2's new paint job and the park's new skyline without Flashback and Psyclone. Other rides have been removed as well, including Spin Out and Sierra Twist.

I think it's amusing how they literally turned Goliath Jr. 180-degrees around.

Horizontally, or vertically?
