Dollywood will auction off first Mystery Mine rides on eBay

The first 56 official rides on Dollywood’s new $17.5 million Mystery Mine roller coaster will be up for grabs during an eBay auction that begins Tuesday, March 20, at 11a.m.. EST. Winning bidders will ride Mystery Mine, the only ride of its kind in the U.S., on Friday, April 13, 2007, during the ride’s official grand opening festivities attended by Dolly Parton. Proceeds from the auction will benefit Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a not-for-profit organization founded in 1996 that provides a book a month to registered preschool-age children in participating communities. The Imagination Library currently operates in 600 communities in 44 states as well as Canada.
