Should change this post to show all parks Great America, New England, and Great Adventure receiving these coasters.

I shouldn't say its about time, because I know why it has been so long. However, this is so AWESOME. But why something so small and expensive? The last coaster we got was a Spinning Wild Mouse, and now another Wild Mouse? I hope the theming is enough to create a huge buzz over this rideBy the way, does anyone know where they are planning on putting this ride?....Wait. On RCDB it says its going in Orleans Place.

Well, I guess they're getting it in 2011 according to the article's headline: "Great America gets new roller coaster in 3 years". Also, they mention "specific effects", perhaps they mean special effects?

>> The ride called "The Dark Knight Coaster" will open in 2008.

The headline probably should read "Great America gets first new roller coaster in 3 years." ...

^ Yea, I know it's really opening in 2008; I was just making fun of the poor journalism.

For $7.5 million, the theming better be spectacular.

Well, seeing as Dark Knight was filmed in Chicago, I think this will be a spectacular addition to Six Flags' Chicago market.

Can we get 2 of em!? Side by side or intertwined? We really need the capacity...

It's really cool that some SF parks are getting new coasters themed to the new movie franchise! Although Batman Begins was awesome, I really believe that because of the re-introduction of one of the most iconic villains of our time, Joker, Dark Night is going to be even more popular...

...Which makes this a very good business move for SF, if you ask me.

^ Agreed totally!

I'm glad someone else mentioned the capacity. RC takes forever to move through the line. I hope this one won't be the same problem. BTW I hear it's going behind theatre royal with the line being set next to Papa John's.

It's nice that an indoor themed coaster is coming to the park(especially Batman themed), but why not just retheme Cajun? I'm never one to whine about additions or lack thereof, especially of the coaster variety, but two mice, one right after the other?

I always wondered if they could revisit the diving coaster (Z-Force/Flashback) concept- seems to me that Z-Force would have worked nicely indoors. Was there any others of that type ever made?
