I wonder how he feels about the loss of Sea World Ohio? My guess is you probably don't want to be around him when he's asked!!!

I would love to hear what he has to say about the loss of Sea World Ohio!

Great, great article. A few things I didn't know, like their involvement in Magic Mountain. I'm sure that I read in some of Disney's biographies that he was invited in on the Sea World venture but he declined. I do think he gave some advice early on in the project though. I would love to know how they ever decided to plop a Sea World down in Auroroa, Ohio. I'm going to have to get that book.

What a nice in-depth piece. I didn't realize he was also involved in Magic Mountain and Wet n' Wild. Wow. Sounds like a character. I loved this part: Or, as it was dubbed, "Tragic Mountain." The amusement park's shakedown cruise was worthy of the Titanic. On opening day, a Los Angeles Times reporter fell from a ride, breaking his leg. He left in an ambulance; his wife tried to follow, but their car was no longer in Magic Mountain's parking lot. It had been stolen.
Too funny!

Definitely a great article. Especially interesting about the poor peacocks :o(. I have to wonder if this incident was the inspiration for the old sitcom WKRP In Cincinnati's episode where they tossed dozens of live turkeys out of a plane because the station manager thought they would fly.

^^^I was thinking that, too!!! Sometimes the truth really is funnier than fiction!
